About Me

I have spent my entire career in residential property. Leaders Romans Group is one of the UK's largest property services groups, with a network of over 200 branches across the UK, offering residential lettings and sales, property management and associated professional services including planning and surveying. Over 11 years there I have worked my way from Negotiator to Lettings Manager, building deep expertise across every aspect of the lettings lifecycle.

I started as a Negotiator, spending six and a half years learning the fundamentals of residential lettings from the ground up. Matching tenants to properties, managing viewings, negotiating tenancy terms, and building the kind of landlord relationships that generate repeat instructions year after year. It taught me that property is a people business first and everything else second.

I stepped up to Assistant Lettings Manager at our Eastbourne branch, where I took on responsibility for the day-to-day lettings operation. I began supervising junior negotiators, handling escalated landlord and tenant issues, and conducting market appraisals to win new business for the branch.

In 2023, I was promoted to Lettings Manager at our Brighton branch. I now lead the lettings team, managing and developing a team of negotiators, conducting market appraisals for all new landlord instructions, and overseeing the full lettings process from initial valuation through to tenancy placement. I work closely with the property management team to make sure the service is seamless from start to finish.

What I enjoy most is the variety. No two days are the same. One morning I might be appraising a new property and advising a landlord on rental strategy. The next I am coaching a negotiator through a tricky tenant situation or working through a complex compliance issue. It is the mix of people, property, and problem-solving that keeps me motivated after 11 years.

I am at my strongest when I am building relationships and solving problems. Landlords trust me because I give honest, straightforward advice on what their property is worth and how to get the best tenant for it. I do not overpromise on rental values to win an instruction and then have to manage expectations down later. I would rather be upfront from day one.

On the team side, I believe in leading by example. I still get involved in the day-to-day work alongside my team because I think it matters that they see their manager doing the same things they are asked to do. It builds respect and it keeps me sharp.
